Why a Home Inspection Can Miss Serious Electrical Problems

Metro East Handyman Services recently completed a project upgrading wall switches and receptacles to a sleek, modern design while uncovering and correcting serious electrical wiring issues and potential fire hazards that had been overlooked during a home inspection.

After removing the switches and receptacles, I traced the wiring, corrected improperly wired switches and receptacles, including a garage 3-way and 4-way switch configuration, and addressed hazardous wiring conditions inside multiple junction boxes.

The photos show some of the electrical issues discovered during this project, but they do not represent all of the problems identified and corrected. Several additional wiring concerns were uncovered throughout the process.

This project demonstrates my commitment to more than just improving the appearance of a home. I take pride in identifying potential safety concerns, completing repairs within my scope of services, and helping homeowners maintain a safer living environment.

At Metro East Handyman Services, quality workmanship, attention to detail, and homeowner safety always come first.
